Sometimes I come across a gem of an item that is hard to part with, but I know that there is someone out there who will appreciate that item as much, if not more, than I do. That this the case with the book "The Boy Who Couldn't Smile" by the talented comic illustrator, Bill Woggon. This book is just darling with characters like Smiley Farrell and Lucy and cute animals, but it is also a piece of history and a rare book from a talented man. Bill Woggon is known as the creator and artist of Katy Keene, the comic and paper dolls. His influence in comics can be traced back to Big Chief Wahoo all the way through work on Archie Comics. He passed away in 2003 at the age of 92. And so I was thrilled to come across this rare 1964 book by Woggon. I love the colors of the illustrations and the story of Smiliey Farrell. I've decided to put it at my Etsy, so someone else can love this children's book. It is an older, used book and has age. Below are some more pictures. Enjoy.
